Crown Fine Art: Making the Right Move

Crown Fine Art continues its expansion with the acquisition of John Nurminen Prima Group B.V. (JNP), a fine arts logistics company with a strong network in Continental Europe, Russia and China.

Crown Fine Art has been providing specialized fine arts packing and transportation services since 1989, with fine arts "Centres of Excellence" (CoE) locations in London, Paris, Milan, Dubai and Hong Kong. The acquisition enables the division to considerably strengthen its service offering in the fine arts logistics sector. Crown Fine Art' global reach will now be expanded to include the existing JPN locations in Amsterdam, Beijing, Berlin, Brussels, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Luxembourg, Moscow, Munich, St. Petersburg and Shanghai.

JNP (previously known as Gerlach Company, which was founded in 1881) predominantly serves museums, art galleries, auction houses and collectors. The services offered include installation, storage, packing, international shipping and restoration of artworks and antiquities. Its impressive list of projects include providing logistical services and transportation of the famous Rembrandt's De Nachtwacht or The Night Watch painting, which is considered to be one of the most famous paintings in the world, and China's most historic and priceless traveling exhibit of the Terracotta Army, dated back to the third century BC.

David Muir, CEO, Crown Worldwide Group - Europe, Middle East & Africa said: "The fine art market is highly specialized, with clients demanding world class levels of expertise and appreciation. John Nurminen Prima is long established, with excellent credentials and a first class client list including internationally renowned museums and institutions. We are very excited to welcome this highly experienced team to the Crown family."
