A Collection of Crown Fine Art Projects
London Art Fair
Event: 2011 London Art Fair
Place: Business Design Centre Islington, North London, United Kingdom
For three years in a row, Crown Fine Art UK has been the official packer and shipper of the London Art Fair. The annual event is held every year at the Business Design Centre in Islington, North London.
The 2011 London Art Fair, now in its 23rd year, opened its biggest show to date. Over 100 galleries were featured to the public. The exhibit displayed a wonderful range of artworks, from momentous names of the twentieth-century British art movement, to contemporary works by leading artists and emerging talent throughout the country. More than 600 of the works of art purchased were also packed by the Crown team.

In addition to handling the artworks at this event, Mick Byrne, Crown's London Art fair fine arts manager, and his team treated 12 children from St. Michael's Catholic School in Ashford, to a special day at the fair. The children, of whom all are members of the school's art club, took part in a unique competition where they put their art skills on display. Crown tasked the budding artists with producing a piece of art about the environment. The entries were included in a special exhibition at the fair where visitors could view and participate with their own critiques. The winner and runners-up will be presented with their prizes at an upcoming ceremony in the near future.
Organizers of the fair commended Crown for the staff's professionalism and quality of services delivered. The team is looking forward to participating at the 2012 London Art Fair and excited to see what works of art will be on display.
