About the project

A successful entrepreneur in France with a history of fast food and restaurant start ups relocated to Singapore and wanted to work for someone else rather than for himself. He asked for help and worked with a career consultant from the Crown Global Career program to gain insight on how to reach his career objectives in the new environment.

The Global Crown Career program provides a platform for professionals to explore all opportunities to continue with their own career or identify career alternatives with a professional career consultant. The program also focuses on social aspects and developing strong, new relationships with peers and making a professional connection.

Requirements and Scope

The entrepreneur found having regular meetings with his career consultant who listened objectively, brainstormed alternatives and options with him, introduced him to local contacts as well as having local knowledge of CV formatting and application processes very important. It allowed him to identify his aspirations, ideal working environments and professional requirements quickly and apply for specific positions that would give him the change he desired.

Outcome

He gained employment at the professional level he wanted with a company that suited his background in the food industry and is now the Regional Marketing Director for Southeast Asia of a large global company.
