Xiamen School Information
Private international schools are most the common choice. The best is Xiamen International School, which offers an American/international curriculum for expatriate students from kindergarten to grade 12. There is not much competition to get into the schools and pre-schools are widely available. Most kids take school bus transportation.Xiamen International School usually starts in the last week of August and ends in the middle of June.

Compared to other countries', the international schools in Shanghai are relatively young. The oldest is Yew Chung, which opened in 1993. Nevertheless, these schools are first-rate with very qualified teachers.
